The Tracy McGrady Disease
The NBA superstar Tracy McGrady suffered from back spasms during his playing career. He was forced to miss several games during the 2005-06 season and was carried off the court on a stretcher. He was not able to return to the court until January. However, he still managed to play in the All-Star Game that year in front of the Rockets’ home crowd. Despite the frequent absences, McGrady still averaged 24.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, the injury cost the Rockets their chance to qualify for the playoffs.
When was Tracy McGrady injury?
Tracy McGrady is one of the greatest scorers in the history of the National Basketball Association. He had a brief career with the Houston Rockets, but it was full of impressive moments. In 2004, he led Houston to an incredible comeback against the San Antonio Spurs, scoring 13 points in just 35 seconds. His impressive performance included a 4-point play through Tim Duncan and a game-winning 3-pointer on the move.
Tracy McGrady suffered several injuries last season, which led to his early retirement. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and left shoulder. He missed 18 games during the 2007-08 season due to his injury. In 2008, he also suffered a severe knee injury, which required arthroscopic surgery. After he returned to the game, he missed a further five games. The following season, he suffered from a microfracture on his left knee and underwent arthroscopic surgery.
Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady are distant cousins. The two men started their careers with the Toronto Raptors. They both played on the same teams in the NBA but never knew they were related until their grandmother called them to ask who was older: Carter or McGrady. They began their careers as second cousins and were even called “Siamese twins” by their teammate Dee Brown.
The two players were NBA superstars. They played together for seven seasons and shared the same family. They were both amazing players and they shared mutual respect. Their respective teams won championships during their time in the league. The NBA has lost a great player because of their tragic disease.
Why was Yao Ming’s career so short?
Although he had a promising NBA career, Yao Ming’s career ended prematurely due to injuries. The Chinese center was selected first overall in the 2002 NBA Draft. Although his playing time in the NBA was limited, he was an eight-time All-Star. Despite this, he retired from the game at age 30.
The NBA and the Rockets reportedly promised to pay Yao five to eight percent of his NBA salary for the duration of his career, and the Shanghai Sharks made a similar deal, offering him up to $15 million per season. But the NBA didn’t fulfill that promise, so the two sides eventually parted ways.
During his sophomore season, Yao showed tremendous improvement, increasing his scoring average by four points. He also set a career-high by scoring 41 points in a game against the Atlanta Hawks. By his fifth season, he averaged 25.0 points per game. During his first three seasons, Yao missed two and 91 games in four years.
